Even though it is a legal requirement to MOT your car every year once it is 3 years old, we know MOT’s can be stressful. That’s why we will complete your MOT in 45 minutes or less and if we do spot any problems or anything we think requires attention our friendly mechanics will explain in clear and straightforward terms what you need to do. You choose when and where you would like to get any repairs done and if you do get the repairs done by us, we will retest your car for free as long as it is within 10 working days.

THE IMPORTANCE OF YOUR MOT
Any car over three years old must have an annual MOT to ensure it’s safe for you to use and roadworthy to help protect other road users from harm. 

The MOT takes around 45 Minutes to an hour, and the dozens of checks involved cover everything from the safety and functionality of the lights, mirrors, windscreen wipers and seatbelts to the brakes, exhaust and fuel systems. It doesn’t, however, check the condition of the gearbox, clutch or engine.

There are a few simple things you can do to prepare your car for its MOT – these are all common reasons for a failure:

• Screenwash is not topped up
• Dirty windows are mirrors
• Registration plate dirty, missing or in an incorrect format
• Stickers blocking the driver’s view
• Warning lights on the dashboard
